Easy canoeing for everybody. You can navigate with family or friends in peace. You’ll be given a solid equipment, stable canoes and buoyancy aids.

You will be taken upstream by minibus and can then paddle downstream at your own pace until you get back to our CANOËric base. Or alternatively you can start from the base and paddle downstream, to be picked up at a later point. You can take all the time you want, feel free to stop for a picnic or a swim at your leisure. They will offer a variety of timetable and ideas for you to choose from but ultimately this is a trip to take at your own pace.

There is also the option to canoe on the Dordogne, although advance booking is necessary and a minimum of three canoes are required.

There are various itineraries available for you to follow that take you past some of the regions most fascinating chateaux and into the depths of the Dordogne countryside. 7. Carennac Aventure Watersports, Carennac

Situated at the foot of Carennac village this watersports centre offers more than just fun on the water! They offer three main activities; canoeing or kayaking, group canoeing with up to six people in the same boat, and adventure trekking with overnight camping out in the wild.

Canoeing/kayaking - travel from 10 to 25 kilometres down the river Dordogne in a canoe or kayak, choosing from three different routes and varying from a morning, an afternoon or an entire day out on the water.

Canoraft - These specialist canoes are built for 4, 5 or 6 people so that you can enjoy your adventure with friends or family. Again choosing between a variety of routes, you can explore the region together.

Adventure Trekking - combine canoeing with trekking and camping with this special itinerary. You will be supplied with a complete kit of tent, lights, stove, dishes etc, in your 'Scout' canoe so that you can camp in comfort. Various itineraries are available for between 2 and 6 days.
