Chateau de Bridoire, Bergerac

Known as the Castle of Games, this chateau is south of the town of Bergerac

featured in Sights & sites

Now privately owned by restoration aficionados Catherine and Jacques Guyot, this castle has been partially restored and opened for the public to enjoy.

Games from the Medieval period have been brought together for the amusement of our visitors, both indoors and outdoors.

Whether you are young or adult, the games are great fun for all!

There is a games room inside the Chateau: le Salon des Jeux, as well as many games in the tents in the outside courtyard, and in the Bell Tower. The Chateau also boasts its very own Archery range, and a costume tent where one can get dressed as a typical knight.

There are no guided tours, however they do provide a written guide for each visitor free of charge.

When to come

Open to the public from the end of April until the end of September. Although for groups of 30 people or more the castle can be opened for a private tour at any time of year with prior reservation.

From mid July to mid August the castle is open on Friday and Saturday evenings from 10pm until midnight, to offer a truly unique and magical experience.
