Taking place twice a week, the Martel market is on Wednesday and Saturday morning. Local growers bring their fresh fruit and vegetables to sell as well as local producers of nut oil, fois gras and other Dordogne specialities. There are restaurants situated around the square so that you can take a break for coffee and watch the morning activities, or stay on after the market and enjoy a pleasant lunch before a walk around Martel.
