Over 30,000 people come to see the Boulevard of Blues in Cahors centre for a week in July.
The brainchild of Gerard Tertre, a lover of Blues, created the festival in 1981 along with some help from friends and together they embarked on this adventure that continues today. With the help of the City and more and more partners this event has grown over the years to become unavoidable. In 1996, more than 30 000 spectators discovered the original "Boulevards of Blues" in the city.
The Blues Festival attracts some big names; the likes of James Brown, BB King and Nina Simone have played there in the past.
