Today & tomorrow will see some of the worst traffic on the roads across France as holiday makers take to the roads in their thousands.

Last weekend was bad in the South of France particularly, but this weekend, experts are predicting the worst weekend of the summer for road users.

Friday 31st July is being classed as a Red warning day, with Saturday 1st August a Black day across all major motorways in France. If you can, avoid the major roads and tolls, and head onto the smaller Routes Nationales.

Experts are suggesting that if you don't really need to travel, then leave it until Sunday or later to make your journey.
