Producers of Buzet appellation wines

The Buzet Winemakers cooperative was founded in 1953 as a result of local winegrowers' desire to see their wine flourish as it had done in the centuries gone by. Initially VDQS, the Buzet wine region was awarded "Appellation Contrôlée" status in 1973.

The wine region is bordered by the Garonne on one side and the Landes forest on the other, and now extends over 2,000 hectares, planted on 40 kilometres of slopes in the Pays d'Albret. It's a good place to visit and sample their selection of whites, reds and rosés.

They offer various tours around the vineyards and cellars, together with free tastings. Booking is a must. You can also visit their wine shop. Open Monday to Saturday all year 09:00-12:00 and 14:00-18:00 (closed on public holidays). In July and August, the shop is open 09:00-12.30 and 14:00-18:30.
