This 15th century château was the breeding ground for the horses of the Marquise de Pompadour, the mistress of Louis XV. It is dominated by large grey turrets which overlook the pretty Pompadour racecourse. Today it is home to the stables of the racecourse and a breeding farm. There is a guided tour of the stables and grounds.
