Following part of the GR6 route through the Dordogne this walk takes you from Lalinde on a circular route through the surrounding countryside.

Enjoying the Dordogne river and the valley you will pass several interesting and historical spots, including the intriguing Chapelle Saint Front de Colubri. Legend has it that Saint Front killed a creature that was said to be eating the town residents and passers by. With the body of a snake, a dragon's head and a huge tail, it was thrown from the top of the cliff by Saint Front and the chapel was then erected on the site in his memory.
